OUR TEAM
A commitment to client-centered, constructible solutions.
Born and raised in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, Engineering by Houghton's President, Daniel Houghton, never considered being anything but an Engineer. Daniel moved to Saint John, N.B. shortly after graduating from UNB Fredericton, and spent four years as a consultant before joining a heavy civil construction company where he spent 11 years developing his skills in construction and project management and through that became the General Manager. His passion for client-centered engineering that focuses on building a strong foundation based on current conditions as well as future growth plans then lead him to start his own consulting firm, Engineering by Houghton.
“Engineering by Houghton was founded to provide innovative, client-centered engineering services across Atlantic Canada with a focus on constructibility and community well-being. At EBH, we always start with the ‘why’ – Why is our client investing in the project? What are their goals and motivations? The answers to these questions help us understand our client’s ideal outcomes so we can realize their vision while exceeding the quality, functionality, and financial goals.”
