Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll manage a portfolio of projects and contribute to growing the scope and scale of the company. Key responsibilities in this role include:

Engineering Design Complete engineering design for land development, municipal infrastructure, and environmental projects ensuring quality control and compliance with municipal, provincial, and national engineering design standards on all projects. This typically involves design for sanitary, storm, and water systems, stormwater management, street construction, site grading, active transportation infrastructure, and sediment and erosion control drawings, and specifications using Autodesk Civil 3D, Storm, and Sanitary Sewer, and other industry-standard applications.

Field Work Spend time in the field and on site to understand the existing topography, identify and record municipal infrastructure, underground utilities, and other key features. Oversee construction activities and meet with clients and contractors to ensure designs are implemented successfully.

Project Management Manage a portfolio of various-sized projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are actively and efficiently completed to meet deadlines, budgets, and client expectations using a suite of tools including Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera Cloud, BQE Core.

Stakeholder Communication Act as EBH’s primary point of contact for field staff, surveyors, drafters, designers, subcontractors, contractors, and clients for the projects you are leading, maintaining open communication and resolving issues as they arise.

Leadership and Company Growth Work closely with the CEO and team members to plan and prioritize work, allocate resources, and drive growth. Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in civil engineering or construction – we are open to applications from senior candidates with more experience.
- Knowledge of provincial and national engineering design requirements.
- Proficiency using Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis (or comparable stormwater management software).
- Strong project management skills – ability to plan holistically considering interconnections, impact and risk mitigation.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Strong technical skills and experience and willingness to apply these skills broadly.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated, organized and prepared.
- Experience using topographic survey equipment will be considered an asset.
- Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle.
